I was struck again at the airport, this time at Chocago O'Hare. This time I was flying United. I thought Chicago was a United hub and even though I was on a late night flight (last flight to Boston) on Thursday, I should be fine. But no I was wrong again. I left Orange County airport in CA and both my flights were on time (SNA to ORD & ORD to BOS). Well, we reached Chicago before time at 7:30 & my flight to Boston was still listed at 8:45 PMN - On Time. For any frequest travelers, these two words put a smile on their face. I went to Red Carpet Club, refreshed myself and promptly came to the gate at 8:15. Still On Time. 8:45 PM came & went, the board showing still On Time, when we were told that the aircraft had a mechanical problem. Why didn't you know it at 8 PM or 8:15 PM , you jerks. Why you keep on anouncing that the flight is on time while you arv stiull building the aircraft.
To add insult to the injury, we were told that all flights to Boston area airports (Hartford & Providence) have already left and that they had no ETA on our flight to Boston. So 200 of us were sitting with no clue what to do next?
